Got my 2nd rejection e-mail from a record label today. It was polite and, like the first one, mentioned my involvement with 7Secs in a kind, respectful way.
This label was really the only label I was excited about sending something to because they put out so many amazing records and is run by some seemingly cool, fair, music-loving people.
I didn't have high hopes but I would love to find a label "home" such as this one.
At least they bothered e-mailing me to say, "thanks but, no thanks", y'know. That means something these days.
Oh well.
Seriously, I'm not even bummed and I'm definitely not surprised.
As mentioned often, I'm not even sure where my side musical stuff is going and how or why other people would find it appealing (marketable) enough to want to throw money and resources into putting it out.
I don't say this in a self-deprecating manner. I know why *I* love my music and how important it is to *ME*. I'm just a little curious about what it could possibly mean to anyone else besides my handfuls of wonderful and devoted fans :)
2 down, 4 to go.
